Vappyvap, or simply Vappy, is a male vaporeon character that served as the fursona of Jonathan Shen; an online personality notable for his contributions to the Vinesauce streaming community in its early years, in particular as the first and longest-serving editor of Vinesauce: The Full Sauce – a channel which preserves lead streamer Vinny's broadcasts – from 2015 to 2018. Shen passed away in April 2020 due to complications from COVID-19 at the age of 31. Early incarnations of Vappy's character featured a more vanilla design with unicolour teal skin, and often depicted with a pair of glasses. Later incarnations of Vappy's character, however, were rarely depicted with glasses, and featured a design with darker blue skin and a white belly. In addition, scars would decorate his left eye, the top of his snout, the right side of his mouth, and his right pectoral.
