Topic: Younger Rape Confuson (Lets fix some tags)

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I was going to start a Young Rape BUR Request but then I noticed a much of a mess this part of the site is. What is definition for any of the tags where a younger or young-looking character is getting raped or participating in a rape. What are the tags we keep or what needs to aliased

Here are the tags in question

And for good measure, tags with 0 posts

Updated

younger and older are relative terms and don't necessarily mean that the post contains a young character.

it doesn't seem like there's any actual standard as to how we deal with these, I'd personally lean towards older_raping_younger and younger_raping_older since they leave a bit less ambiguity, similar to younger_dom_older_sub and its inverse.

Yeah, young_* is a lot better than younger_* in that regard. This is from tagging projects going back a few years (by now?). We have stuff like older_penetrating/younger_penetrated versus younger_penetrating/older_penetrated where it's entirely arbitrary which version is used. Rule of laziness/brevity is why you don't usually do stuff like older_penetrating_younger/older_penetrated_by_younger and reverse of that.

I was getting confused which tag to use and looking at some of the post with these, artists seem to not know what tag to use either.

TBH, I've hated how young <-> younger and raped/rape/raping/rapist/raper are so similar-sounding from day 1 but unlike with changing to rapist/raped, young(er) is not nearly as obvious a solution.
